About The Road Home Foundation

The Road Home Foundation is a 501(c) 3 public charity. The Road Home Foundation began as the idea of Nancy K. Clark. She has been working in the field of alternative sentencing since the 70's. She spent some time working in the criminal justice field interviewing clients for the Orange County Public Defender's office. She saw that many of the clients had great potential if only someone could get them to see it in themselves. Nancy Clark then took part in the Best Choice program which required county jail inmates complete a program to become eligible for an outside re-entry program that helped them safely assimilate back into free society as decent tax-paying citizens. Through all of these experiences Nancy Clark realized that she wanted to do more to help inmates realize their full potential.

We are here to serve the community. It is our belief that the best way to reduce recidivism and prevent anti-social acts is to make everyone feel they have a stake in the community.

MISSION STATEMENT

To reduce recidivism by providing a safe and supportive place for men and women to go upon release from jails and prisons and the opportunity to receive meaningful substance abuse treatment.

There is hope if there is a heartbeat.

GOAL

To assist individuals in repairing their lives, becoming responsible, productive members of the community and finding "the road home" to their families as better sons, daughters, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers or grandparents.
